About the role
IKAD Engineering is a leading provider of high-quality engineering services, specialising in fabrication, construction and maintenance solutions. With over 30 years of industry experience, we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, quality and innovation.
This full-time role will see you utilise your exceptional welding and fabrication skills while contributing to a range of complex, high-quality engineering projects.
Due to the nature of the work performed at this location and the strict security and site access requirements associated with our client's projects, applicants must be Australian Citizens to be considered for this position.
Key responsibilitiesPerform welding, fabrication and assembly tasks to a high standard
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Operate a variety of welding equipment and machinery safely and effectively
Collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver projects on time and to budget
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and quality standards
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team
Australian Citizenship is essential due to client security and site access requirements
Formal qualifications in Boiler making or a related trade
5+ years' experience as a Boilermaker / Welder, ideally within a similar industrial or heavy engineering environment
Minimum 3+ years' experience welding exotic materials
Demonstrated expertise across a range of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Proficiency in the use of fabrication tools and machinery
A strong commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of your work
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
