About the role
Lindfield College is a comprehensive, coeducational K–12 school located on the North Shore of Sydney. The school has an enrolment of approximately 793 students, including 378 students from a non-English speaking background and 9 students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The school is committed to achieving excellence in education by supporting all students to reach their full potential. Teaching and learning programs are designed to cater for a diverse range of learning needs and styles, ensuring that education is accessible, relevant and engaging. A strong emphasis is placed on student voice and agency, with new structures such as a school leadership team and the establishment of a Student Representative Council supporting student participation in decision-making processes. Students are provided with a broad range of opportunities across sport, creative and performing arts, and academic competitions, with demonstrated success in these areas.
A consistent, school-wide focus on explicit teaching underpins instructional practice. Future directions aim to further strengthen and embed this evidence-based approach to enhance student outcomes.
Specific Selection CriteriaApproval to teach Legal Studies & Business Studies.
Demonstrated ability to implement a broad range of effective classroom teaching strategies that actively engage students and foster a positive classroom environment, to meet the individual learning needs of students
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff and students in order to achieve optimal teaching and learning outcomes.
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
