OHSC Service Leader - Mount Gravatt State School

Our Patch Group runs Outside School Hours Care across 36 services in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, operating under two brands: Our Patch and School Plus. Mt Gravatt State School is a School Plus program: a smaller service with a stable, experienced team, a warm and supportive school environment, and exclusive-use space of its own. It is a service with an embedded focus on program quality and educational outcomes, and we are looking for a Service Leader who wants to build on that.

As Service Leader, you will be the face of the service — to your team, to the school, and to every family who walks through the door. You will:

• Lead and develop a small, stable team of educators, supporting their qualifications and practice
• Design and deliver a rich, intentional, play-based program aligned with My Time, Our Place
• Own compliance under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, including child safety, incident reporting and record keeping
• Manage day-to-day operations: attendance, ratios, bookings, WHS and budgets
• Make the most of a dedicated, exclusive-use space designed for your program
• Build genuine relationships with a supportive school partner and your families
• Champion our child safe culture in everything the service does

• Diploma of School Age Education and Care, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent (or actively working towards)
• Experience leading a team in OSHC, early childhood or a related setting
• A real interest in program design and educational practice, not just supervision
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) 
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Solid working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
• Confidence with rostering, compliance and the practical side of running a service
• Warmth, resilience and sound judgement
