We’re supporting a major rail infrastructure alliance delivering one of Australia’s most significant network‑wide signalling upgrades; a multi‑year program modernising train control, passenger information systems and operational technology across Perth’s metropolitan rail network.This is an excellent contract opportunity for a Project Manager to step into a high‑profile, technically complex, city‑shaping program with long‑term stability and genuine career stretch.

The RoleAs Project Manager, you’ll lead defined packages of work within the signalling and operational technology program, ensuring safe, timely and coordinated delivery across multiple stakeholders.You’ll manage planning, design coordination, procurement, delivery, testing, commissioning and handover activities, working closely with engineering, construction, operations and alliance partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage project scope, schedule, cost and risk across assigned workstreamsCoordinate design, engineering and delivery teams within the AllianceOversee procurement, subcontractor engagement and package deliveryManage interfaces with signalling, rail systems, operations and station upgradesLead stakeholder engagement with client representatives and alliance partnersEnsure compliance with safety, quality and rail operational requirementsSupport testing, commissioning and integration activitiesProvide clear reporting, forecasting and governance documentation
What You BringExperience as a Project Manager in rail, infrastructure, signalling, systems, or complex multi‑disciplinary projectsStrong capability in project planning, delivery management and stakeholder coordinationExperience working in Alliance, JV, major contractor, or client‑side environmentsAbility to manage technical interfaces and collaborate with engineering teamsStrong communication, governance and reporting capabilityA proactive, solutions‑focused approach and comfort working in a fast‑moving program environment
Ideal but Not EssentialExperience with signalling, train control, SCADA/TCS, operational technology or rail systemsExposure to testing & commissioning environmentsExperience delivering projects within a live operational rail network
