How will you contribute to the team:

• Operate a 20-tonne excavator safely and efficiently.
  

• Undertake cargo handling and material movement activities as directed.
  

• Conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects.
  

• Work safely within confined operating areas onboard the vessel.
  

• Comply with all safety, environmental and operational procedures.
  

• Maintain accurate operational records as required.
  

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
  

• Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

The skills you will bring to the team:

Essential:
• Demonstrated experience operating excavators (20-tonne or similar).
• Current excavator ticket/licence and relevant competencies.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts.

Desirable:
• Experience operating machinery in confined environments.
• Previous marine, port, mining or bulk cargo handling experience.
• Current driver licence.
• Additional machinery licences/tickets.
