Landscape Gardener

Position Overview

Green by Nature is seeking a qualified and experienced Landscape Gardener to join our growing team. This role involves the construction, maintenance and presentation of commercial landscapes across a range of sites including schools, universities, councils, and land and property developments.

The successful applicant will perform landscape maintenance and construction tasks in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, trimming and aeration to required standardsPrepare soil and plant flowers, shrubs and trees in accordance with landscape plansPrune trees, shrubs and hedges and undertake weed control activitiesApply fertilisers, compost and soil treatments as requiredIdentify and manage plant pests and diseases using appropriate methodsInstall, inspect and maintain irrigation systemsAssist with the construction and maintenance of pathways, garden beds, retaining walls and drainage systemsOperate and maintain landscaping equipment including ride-on mowers, tractors and VentracsRemove and dispose of green waste and site debris correctlyFollow workplace health and safety procedures and environmental regulations at all times

Skills And Experience Required

Certificate III in Landscape Construction or equivalent qualificationDemonstrated experience in commercial landscaping or grounds maintenanceAbility to operate landscaping machinery and tools safelyUnderstanding of plant care, soil preparation and irrigation systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong awareness of workplace safety requirements

Mandatory Requirements

White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtainWorking with Children Check or willingness to obtainNational Police Check or willingness to obtain

Employment Conditions And Benefits
