Breakfast Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef to take ownership of a breakfast kitchen and help build something exciting.

We’re a busy cafe known for our coffees and drinks. We’re now looking for the right chef to lead a major kitchen transformation and update breakfast and brunch menu to something that stands out in the area.

This role is ideal for a breakfast chef who is creative, highly organised, fast under pressure and understands both the culinary and business side of running a successful cafe kitchen.

We are not looking for someone to simply run the current menu — we’re looking for someone who can help build a successful food program from the ground up.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience as a Head Chef or senior chef in a fast-paced cafe environment
• 5+ years of experience
• Ability to create exciting, profitable and efficient menu items
• Someone who understands current cafe trends and local market expectations
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to manage ordering, prep systems, food costs and workflow
• Someone looking for a long-term opportunity and growth

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing a new breakfast/brunch menu
• Running daily kitchen operations
• Managing kitchen staff
• Ordering and stock control
• Food costing and maintaining profitability
• Creating specials and seasonal ideas
• Maintaining consistency, speed and kitchen standards
• Training and leading the team
