Bar Attendant

About the role

Castlereagh Boutique Hotel is looking for a friendly, professional and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and has a genuine interest in food and beverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and efficient service to hotel guests and patrons

• Prepare and serve beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and other beverages

• Take customer orders accurately and process transactions through the POS system

• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar area

• Restock beverages, glassware and other bar supplies as required

• Assist with stock rotation, stock control and minimising wastage

• Make recommendations and upsell beverages where appropriate

• Ensure responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements are followed at all times

About you

• Has previous bar or hospitality experience, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or function environment

• Holds a current NSW RSA certificate

• Has excellent customer service and communication skills

• Is confident, reliable and well presented

• Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Is able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
