About the role
Working closely with the group's Head of Bookings, this role will provide day-to-day administrative, coordination and commercial support across Century Venues' portfolio, including The Enmore Theatre, Metro Theatre, Factory Theatres and The University of Sydney Manning Bar, The Concourse Chatswood Performing Arts Centre, Darling Quarter Theatre, The Sydney Comedy Store.
The role will suit someone with a strong interest in the live entertainment and events industry who is looking to develop their career in venue bookings, programming and event management. The successful applicant will assist with managing event enquiries, preparing quotes, maintaining venue calendars, coordinating information between clients and internal teams, and supporting the progression of bookings from enquiry through to contract and delivery.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Previous experience in events, entertainment, venue operations, administration or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to the commercial and programming side of a major Sydney venue group.
The Junior Booker will provide administrative and coordination support across the group's programming and venue bookings function, including:
Assisting with the management of incoming venue and event enquiries.Preparing and issuing quotes, proposals and booking information.Maintaining accurate venue calendars, booking records and internal systems.Assisting with the progression of enquiries through to confirmation and contracting.Coordinating information between promoters, producers, clients and internal venue teams.Assisting with event advancing and ensuring relevant information is captured and distributed.Following up outstanding enquiries, holds, contracts and booking documentation.Supporting the Head of Bookings with day-to-day administration and coordination.Assisting with reporting, calendar management and maintaining accurate booking data.Monitoring industry activity, touring announcements and relevant event opportunities.Supporting the broader programming team with research, market intelligence and promoter information.Developing an understanding of the group's venues, capacities, commercial structures and programming objectives.
The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.Confidence communicating with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.A proactive, solutions-focused approach to work.Strong computer literacy and confidence working across booking, calendar and administrative systems.Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes.Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to client service.An interest in live entertainment, music, comedy, theatre and/or the broader events industry.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Previous experience in events, entertainment, venue operations, administration or customer service will be highly regarded.Previous experience within a performing arts or live entertainment environment will be advantageous.
