Senior Financial Accountant - Mandarin Speaking Preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing omni-channel retail business operating across Australia and New Zealand.

This role is suited to a finance professional with strong financial reporting, compliance, payroll, and treasury experience, combined with the ability to provide commercial insights to support business performance. The successful candidate will take ownership of key finance functions across multiple entities while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach when required.

The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, retail finance, payroll, treasury, and business operations within a fast-paced and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

• Support STP reporting, PAYG, Superannuation, payroll tax, and employee-related financial obligations

• Deliver commercial insights on sales, margins, store performance, online channel performance, and overall profitability

• Manage occupancy cost reporting, rent reconciliations, and lease-related financial obligations

• Support improvements to finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
  

About You

• CA / CPA qualified or working towards qualification

• 3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant, Senior Financial Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager, or similar role

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, omni-channel, or multi-site businesses will be highly regarded

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
