Auto Electrician – Custom 4x4 Trays & Canopies

HICAT Pty Ltd is an Albury-based fabrication business specialising in premium-quality custom ute trays and canopies.

We’re looking for an Auto Electrician to join our small team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working on quality custom 4x4 builds rather than repetitive, high-volume work.

The Role

Your role will involve both auto electrical work and the fitment of our custom trays and canopies to vehicles.

Responsibilities will include:

• Installing and wiring 12-volt electrical systems, including dual battery systems, battery management systems, lighting, outlets and accessories

• Reinstalling and integrating factory electrical components such as tail lights, reverse cameras and parking sensors

• Troubleshooting and general auto electrical work associated with our builds

• Fitting custom ute trays and canopies to vehicles

• Fitting 4x4 and touring accessories

• General assembly and fit-out work

There may also be opportunities to learn and operate CNC machinery for someone who is interested.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need to:

• Have excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on consistent quality

• Take pride in your workmanship

• Have strong mechanical and hands-on fitting skills

• Be able to work well as part of a small team

• Be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

• Be reliable, practical and willing to get involved in different aspects of the job

Experience in the 4x4, touring or custom vehicle industry would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.
