John Bell Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, professional and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team on a casual or part-time basis, initially working Sundays only, with the potential for additional weekday shifts as the role develops. Our Sunday pharmacy service operates from 10:00am–2:00pm.

Whether it is a walk-in patient, a hospital facility, an email or a phone call, we believe every interaction matters. We are looking for a Pharmacist who shares this commitment to exceptional service, professionalism and patient care.

For Pharmacists who are interested in additional weekday work, there may be opportunities to become involved in our private hospital pharmacy services, providing a broader mix of community and clinical pharmacy experience.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacist looking for a regular Sunday shift, with the potential to take on additional weekday hours in the future.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmacy services while ensuring that every patient, healthcare professional and facility receives a prompt, professional and helpful response.

The role includes traditional dispensary services as well as clinical support, counselling and discharge services for patients transitioning from hospital to home.

We are flexible regarding employment arrangements and welcome applications from Pharmacists seeking casual or part-time work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional medication advice and patient counselling

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with legal and professional standards

• Provide prompt and professional service to all walk-in patients

• Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and emails

• Liaise with private hospitals, healthcare facilities, doctors, nurses and allied health professionals

• Administer vaccinations in line with current guidelines

• Deliver a consistently high standard of customer and patient service

• Maintain accurate records and high standards of professional practice

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist

• Vaccination accreditation

• Community and/or hospital pharmacy experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A strong customer and patient service mindset

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to prioritise and respond promptly in a busy environment

• A professional, friendly and approachable manner

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
