About the role
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our finance team in Somersby. The Administrator will prepare and assist with processing weekly payroll of approximately 150 employees.
The successful candidate will be confident managing workflows within systems, handling employee enquiries, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is interested in developing their payroll skills. While payroll experience is advantageous, we will place greater emphasis on strong administrative capability, organisational skills, and attention to detail throughout the recruitment process.
This is a fulltime position, however a part time arrangement could also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, review, and prepare employee timesheets.
Perform accurate data entry for timesheets, leave requests, and employee records.
Support payroll administration activities and learn payroll processes and procedures.
Interpret information and apply established rules, policies, and procedures accurately.
Administer and manage workflows through company systems.
Respond to employee enquiries in a professional, warm, and timely manner.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems.
Identify, investigate, and resolve routine payroll and administrative issues.
Escalate complex queries, discrepancies, or system issues to the appropriate stakeholder when required.
Assist with general administrative tasks to support the wider team.
Prioritise workloads effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a mid-level administrative role.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and confidently manage workflows within them.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a warm, professional approach.
Ability to interpret information, follow processes, and apply rules consistently.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
