About the role
Join Cranecorp as a Senior HSEQT Advisor
Cranecorp is seeking a proactive, experienced and hands-on Senior HSEQT Advisor to support and continually improve our Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training (HSEQT) systems across our operations.
This is not a desk-based compliance role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with operational teams, engaging directly with our workforce and clients, and providing practical support to drive safe and efficient outcomes.
Working closely with our People & Culture team, operational leaders and site personnel, you will play a key role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting compliance, managing injury and rehabilitation processes, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HSEQT professional who thrives in operational environments and is passionate about making a visible impact.
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health, Health, Safety, or equivalent postgraduate qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience.
5+ years’ experience in a similar role in the heavy vehicle or mining industry
Demonstrated understanding of legislation and best practices in Health and Safety
Ability to engage stakeholders and attain buy-in on safety initiatives from key stakeholders
Previous experience developing or overhauling a safety framework for a blue collar business
Competent in writing and reviewing management plans, procedures, work method statements and other related system documentation
Experience ensuring site safety including psychological safety
Previously implemented risk management strategies and procedures and conducting risk assessments
Confident at delivering safety meetings and toolbox talks
Demonstrated experience in injury management, return to work coordination, and workers compensation claim management
Experience with ICAM and/or TapRooT® investigations
Demonstrated experience maintaining and improving integrated management systems aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
About the position:
Lead Cranecorp's review of its safety framework and systems
Advise Cranecorp senior leadership on safety legislation
Partner with all aspects of the business to ensure a cooperative culture around safety
Regular travel throughout WA for site safety assessments and safety coverage for major shutdowns
Implement processes to ensure the safety of our staff
Facilitate verification of competency for various high risk work licenses and ensure compliance with site and legal requirements
Manage incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
Lead injury management, workers compensation and return to work processes, partnering with employees, managers and external providers to achieve positive recovery and return to work outcomes
Maintain and continually improve Cranecorp's integrated management system to support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
Support training compliance, workforce competency and verification of competency programs across the business
