Accounts Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking an organised, proactive and efficient individual who is keen to provide finance administrative support in a high growth technology business.

This role will report into the Senior Financial Accountant and will assist with the financial management of our TechMedia business, through the administration of accounts, banking, month end and other general tasks as required.

The role will also liaise with other teams in the business including the Operations, Procurement and Customer Engagement teams.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable: Uploading of purchase orders into the finance systems, entry of supplier invoices against open purchase orders, weekly EFT payment scheduling, batching and uploading to the bank, completing supplier credit application forms, ensuring invoices are approved on time for paymentAccounts receivable: Uploading and issuing customer invoices from the operations system into the finance system and uploading invoices into customer portals. Raising credit notes and statements, debtor management/collectionsBanking: Accurate and timely bank and credit card reconciliationsDebtor & Creditor maintenance: Maintenance of accurate contact details, terms etc within the accounting systemPayroll: assist in supporting the administering of payrollWorking closely with operations, customer and procurement teams to ensure timely and complete data flow Assisting with month and year end tasks as directedReporting and miscellaneous administrative tasks / support as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Excellent attention to detail with ability to prioritise workload effectivelyHighly organised, proactive with a positive attitudeKeen to learn and adaptable to changing processesEffective communicator both verbally and in writingIntermediate computer literacy skills including Excel and WordExperience with finance systems, a plus if prior experience with Workday

Qualifications & Certifications

Tertiary qualification in business or accounting would be viewed favourably but not required

While this is a full-time position, we offer flexible working arrangements, with the option of part-time hours for the right candidate.
