About the role

ConX Hire is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Representative for Plant and Equipment Hire to join our growing team in Melbourne. This is a full-time position based in Melbourne. As a Sales Representative, you will be the face of ConX Hire, responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth within the plant and equipment hire sector. This role is pivotal to our business expansion and directly contributes to the company's revenue and market presence.

What you'll be doing

Identifying and prospecting new business opportunities within the construction, mining, and industrial sectors to expand ConX Hire's customer base

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business

• Presenting plant and equipment hire solutions tailored to meet client requirements and budgets

• Preparing detailed quotations and proposals that highlight the value and benefits of ConX Hire's offerings

• Negotiating contracts and closing sales whilst ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies

• Providing product knowledge and technical information to clients regarding available equipment and specifications

• Managing sales pipeline and maintaining accurate records of all client interactions and transactions in the CRM system

• Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs

• Collaborating with the operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth equipment delivery and customer service

• Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote ConX Hire and generate leads

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of success in sales, ideally within the equipment hire, construction, or industrial services sector

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers

• Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets consistently

• Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player

• Sound knowledge of plant and equipment or willingness to develop comprehensive product knowledge quickly

• Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Melbourne metropolitan area and beyond as required

• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-centric approach to service delivery

• Previous experience in the hire industry or B2B sales environment is highly desirable
