Female Youth Residential/Disability Support Worker

Ability Assist is hiring Female Youth Residential Support Workers with Disability experience to work in Sunbury and Pascoe Vale, focusing on clients with complex needs. The role involves personal care, supporting young people in their homes and communities, promoting independence and well-being. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, support and engagement to young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

• Assist young people in developing independence and improving their quality of life.

• Encourage participation in activities based on their interests and goals.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of young people.

• Attend to domestic duties, including meal preparation and cleaning and personal care.

• Driving clients to activities and services.

• Attend team meetings. 

Requirements:

• Due to currently client needs, requirement is for FEMALE support workers only.

• Part Time role with a minimum of two shifts per week.

• Flexibility to work various shifts across a 24/7 period, 7 days a week.

• Experience working with young people displaying complex needs and challenging behaviours.

• Experience working in residential care and disability is required.

• Ability to undertake the required DFFH note taking and reporting requirements is essential.

• Must meet all relevant legislative requirements to work in our industry.

• Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent and Disability qualification are required.

• Residential Skill Set-Four Trauma Top Up units is required.
