Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

The Opportunity:
The Senior Mental Health Clinician is a key position within the Early Psychosis stream. Our service is made up of compassionate, curious, and committed people. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a committed Senior Mental Health Clinician to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and governance to a multidisciplinary team supporting young people at ultra-high risk of psychosis or with first episode psychosis, and complex co-morbid conditions.
This role offers a chance to contribute directly to the mental health and wellbeing of young people within a supportive and innovative environment. You will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that makes a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.

About the Role:
The Senior Clinician provides clinical care and coordination at a senior level within the Early Psychosis team supporting young people aged 12–25 at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis or experiencing a first episode of psychosis, who may also present with a range of comorbid mental health issues.
Provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based interventions, supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team with supervision, training, and clinical governance responsibilities.
Provide comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, case management, and evidence-based psychological interventions to young people and their families.
What You'll Do:
About You:
You will be experienced in, and passionate about, early intervention and evidence based care for young people experiencing severe mental health difficulties including those at ultra-high risk for psychosis and/or with a first episode psychosis.
✔️ Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 4 / Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Psychologist Grade 3
✔️ Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
✔️ Minimum 5 years’ experience in tertiary and/or youth mental health and a demonstrated ability to lead a clinical team, supervise mental health clinicians, and function both autonomously and collaboratively with other clinical and organisational leaders
✔️ Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
✔️ Motivated by youth-focused, inclusive, and recovery-oriented care
