The Opportunity: Senior Contracts Administrator North SydneyTake the lead on exciting projects and accelerate your career with one of Australia's most respected builders.With multiple new projects commencing across Sydney, Hindmarsh is seeking experienced Senior Contracts Administrators to join our growing team.At Hindmarsh, Senior Contracts Administrators reports to the Project Manager and play a key leadership role within the project team, driving commercial outcomes, managing risk and supporting successful project delivery from procurement through to completion.
You will: Leading procurement activities including tendering, subcontractor engagement and trade package managementManaging head contract and subcontract administration throughout project deliveryMonitoring project financial performance, forecasting, cashflow and cost reportingAssessing, pricing and administering variations and claimsPreparing progress claims and supporting extension of time processesManaging commercial risk and ensuring contractual complianceProviding commercial guidance to project teams and stakeholdersMentoring Contract Administrators, Cadets and emerging commercial professionalsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractorsSupporting project reporting and contributing to commercial project outcomes
About you: This role is ideally suited to someone with:5+ years' commercial construction experience, ideally within a head contractor environmentExperience managing procurement, contract administration and project financialsStrong understanding of contract law principles and construction-related legislationExperience managing variations, claims and subcontractor relationshipsStrong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExperience using CHEOPS, Aconex and similar construction software
