Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

• Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week
• Salary: $81,206.78 to $87,085.42 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation.

About the role

The Volunteer Engagement (VE) Coordinator provides administrative, coordination and system support to enable effective and compliant volunteer engagement across BSL.

The role supports the recruitment, screening, onboarding and ongoing coordination of volunteers, working closely with Volunteer Engagement Advisors, Coordinators and leaders of volunteers to apply consistent processes and practices. Through accurate data management and responsive support, the role contributes to a safe, well‑organised and positive volunteer experience

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding and commencement processes in line with organisational procedures
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date volunteer records in the volunteer management system
• Support the implementation of volunteer engagement priorities and work plans under the direction of the Volunteer Engagement Lead
• Coordinate compliance processes, including pre‑commencement checks, safeguarding requirements and expiry tracking
• Conduct scheduled compliance audits and data integrity checks in line with established procedures

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

• Relevant qualification in volunteer management, administration, community services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Relevant vocational training or professional development in volunteer engagement or related areas (desirable)
• Experience in coordination, administration or service delivery roles
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding or program coordination
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Adaptable and responsive in a changing environment
• Practical and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
