Western Sydney Formwork Western Sydney Formwork is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work across construction projects throughout Sydney and will be responsible for undertaking surveying, setting-out and measurement activities to support the accurate delivery of  construction works. Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, engineers and construction teams, you will ensure that works are accurately set out and completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities Your duties will include: Reviewing and interpreting construction plans, engineering drawings and project specifications; Conducting site surveys and setting out building works, including formwork and concrete structural elements; Establishing and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, gridlines and reference points; Setting out the location and levels of structural elements, including slabs, walls, columns, beams and other concrete structures; Taking accurate measurements, levels and coordinates throughout different stages of construction; Using surveying instruments and equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment and laser levels; Performing calculations and preparing survey data required for construction activities; Conducting as-built surveys and verifying completed works against approved drawings and specifications; Identifying and reporting discrepancies between site conditions, survey data and construction drawings; Preparing and maintaining accurate survey records, reports, sketches and related documentation; Liaising with project managers, engineers, supervisors and site personnel to resolve surveying and set-out matters; Ensuring surveying equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and used correctly; Assisting construction teams with technical surveying and measurement requirements as required; and Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures at all times. Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you should have: Relevant qualifications in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline; Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience working as a Surveyor, preferably within the construction, civil or formwork industry; Strong experience in construction surveying and site set-out; Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings; Experience using modern surveying equipment Sound knowledge of surveying principles, techniques and calculations; Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills; High level of accuracy and attention to detail; Good communication and organisational skills; Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction team; and A reliable and professional approach to work.
