Business Development & Account Manager

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join our dedicated, self-motivated team. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role is focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding Acryloc's market share, and building sales & long-term strategic partnerships across trades, builders, architects, specifiers and developers. You will play a key role in driving the company's growth strategy and strengthening Acryloc's position as a leading Australian-made paint and coatings manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across trades, builders, architects, specifiers, developers and resellers throughout Australia

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share in existing and new territories

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective accounts through proactive prospecting and networking

• Negotiate and convert new accounts into long-term, sustainable partnerships

• Work collaboratively with the sales team and internal staff to ensure smooth onboarding and fulfilment of new customer needs

• Collaborate with the Sales Manager and General Manager to set and achieve growth targets and KPIs

About you

• Previous experience in Building Supplies / Paint / Construction sector essential

• Proven track record in business development or new business B2B sales, ideally within paint, coatings, render or texture products

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to convert prospects into long-term accounts

• Ability to liaise effectively with retail, trade and reseller networks

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

• Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
