About the role
About the role:
As an Operational Support Supervisor, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective pathology services for Queensland Children's Hospital and Pathology Queensland by ensuring compliance with Pathology Queensland, NATA, and ISO standards. You will oversee and coordinate the Central Specimen Reception within the Queensland Children's Hospital Laboratory, ensuring all reception processes meet required standards and operate efficiently and effectively to support quality patient care and laboratory services.
Your key responsibilities include:
Role fit:
You will bring extensive experience in pre-analytical specimen processing and a strong understanding of laboratory operations across multiple disciplines. With proven leadership and coordination skills, you will oversee Central Specimen Reception services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient and compliant laboratory support in line with professional standards and Department of Health objectives. Your commitment to excellence, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, will enable you to lead teams effectively and foster continuous improvement. You will also be proficient, or able to quickly develop proficiency, in Microsoft Office applications and laboratory information systems such as AUSLAB, while driving quality and service improvement initiatives in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation requirements.
