About the role
As our Finance Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Group's day-to-day financial operations.
Key responsibilities
Managing the end-to-end accounts payable processes including accurate supplier set-ups, and invoice processing
Ensuring compliance with QBCC Project Trust Account (PTA) requirements during payment run processing, including monitoring trust account obligations and preparing associated intercompany billings
Administering corporate credit cards and reviewing staff coding
Completing daily bank uploads, coding and bank reconciliations
Managing inter-company cash transfers and monitoring short-term cash flow requirements to ensure adequate funding across the Group
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, including reporting and reconciliations
Assisting with corporate secretarial administration, including ASIC records, resolutions and meeting minutes
Contribute to process improvements and maintain compliance with internal controls and financial policies
About you
Demonstrated experience in a similar Finance Officer or accounts payable role
A strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes
Experience with invoice processing, supplier management, reconciliations and payment runs
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable controls
Proficiency in accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
The ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, accountable and team-focused approach
The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-volume finance environment
