Warehouse, Dispatch & Delivery Operator

About the role

River City Fasteners is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse, Dispatch & Delivery Operator to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Yatala QLD 4207. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring that products are accurately processed, stored and delivered to our customers on time. This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of service and operational efficiency within the manufacturing, building and construction sector.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and freight deliveries against documentation

• Accurately picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch to customers

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery safely and efficiently

• Organising and storing products in designated warehouse areas, maintaining accurate inventory records

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles whilst adhering to weight and safety requirements

• Assisting with dispatch operations, including labelling, documentation and route planning for deliveries

• Conducting regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety standards

• Identifying and reporting damaged goods, discrepancies or potential issues to management

• Supporting the delivery function by accompanying shipments when required and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Assist the warehouse and wider team with general day-to-day duties as required

What we're looking for

• Be reliable, punctual and committed to doing the job properly

• Have previous experience in warehousing, pick packing, dispatch or delivery

• Have strong attention to detail and take pride in accurate work

• Be organised and able to manage competing tasks efficiently

• Be physically capable of safely performing regular lifting and manual handling

• Be able to work independently while contributing positively to the team

• Have good communication and customer service skills

• Hold a current Australian manual driver’s licence with a safe driving record

• Be confident and responsible when driving a delivery vehicle

• Have reliable private transport to and from work, as the workplace is not accessible by public transport — this is essential

Experience with Fishbowl Inventory, CIN7 or other similar inventory management software will be highly regarded.

A current LF forklift licence and experience with fasteners, tools, construction supplies or industrial products would also be advantageous.
