As an independent not‑for‑profit organisation, part of a global network of 360+ Houses, we help families with ill or injured children access the medical care and resources they need to focus on what truly matters; each other.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Operations & Facilities, the Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring all Ronald McDonald House WA facilities operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard at all times. You will oversee reactive and preventative maintenance, contractor and supplier management, compliance, capital works, asset management, and site presentation across multiple locations.

You will play a critical role in maintaining environments that are safe, functional, welcoming, and family-focused.

What You'll Bring

You are a hands-on and solutions-focused facilities professional who thrives in dynamic environments and genuinely cares about delivering safe and high-quality spaces for others.

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience in Facilities Management, Property Maintenance, Building Services (or a similar role) and a Trade qualification (or equivalent practical facilities experience).
• Strong knowledge of building compliance, workplace safety, risk management, and maintenance best practices.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and service agreements.
• Demonstrated budget management and financial oversight skills.
• Project management experience, including facilities upgrades and capital works.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A current driver's licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant child safety screening requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

· Coordinate and oversee all reactive maintenance to ensure timely resolution of issues.

· Develop, implement, and monitor a preventative maintenance program across sites.

Contractor & Supplier Management

• Onboarding and management of external contractors and service providers.
• Establish (where needed) and maintain service agreements and performance expectations.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure Houses (and other Programs where necessary) comply with all relevant health, safety, building, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance registers, certifications, and documentation.

Site Inspections & Standards

• Conduct regular site reviews and walkthroughs to ensure buildings, rooms, and communal areas are in excellent condition.
