About the role
As our Community Health Promotion Officer, you will lead ACON’s work alongside:
Rather than only focusing on delivering one-off projects, you will develop deep and trusted relationships with communities, partners and organisations across the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast.
You will translate community knowledge into health promotion initiatives that strengthen connections, improve health equity, and create lasting impact.
Collaborating closely with Community Health Promotion colleagues across complementary population portfolios, you will contribute to a collaborative, intersectional approach to improving the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ communities throughout the region.
Full-time 70 hours per fortnight based in our Bundjalung (Lismore) office with travel across the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast.
We are looking for an experienced Community Health Promotion Officer to join our Northern Rivers and Mid-North Coast team to help shape the next chapter of our practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work within ACON’s emerging Population Lead Model, a contemporary approach that recognises communities are not defined by single identities, but by the rich intersection of culture, gender, geography, age, migration, disability, and lived experience.
