About the role
Lead the practical and technical delivery of independent musical theatre productions from planning through to closing night.
Andrew G Presents is a growing independent musical theatre production company with big ambitions and exciting plans.
Following critically acclaimed local productions of Avenue Q, Mamma Mia and Once, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join us on a 20 week full time contract.
Working closely with the Executive Producer and Associate Producer, the Production Manager will oversee the practical and technical delivery of productions from planning through rehearsals, bump in, technical rehearsals, performances and bump out.
This is a hands on role for someone who is organised, practical and proactive, with the ability to keep multiple departments moving, work closely with creative and technical teams and solve problems efficiently.
Responsibilities include production scheduling, coordinating scenery, lighting, sound, costumes, props and other technical requirements, liaising with venues and suppliers, sourcing contractors and equipment, monitoring costs within established budgets, coordinating crew and logistics and overseeing bump in, technical rehearsals and bump out.
We are looking for someone with strong theatre production experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, a practical understanding of technical theatre and the confidence to take ownership of the day to day production process.
Experience in large scale musical theatre would be highly regarded.
Contract: Full time, 20 weeks
Terms: Salary is pro rata based on a full time equivalent package including superannuation. The 20 week contract excludes the summer hiatus.

Summer hiatus: 13 December 2026 to 15 January 2027
Location: Melbourne
