About the Role

As a Workplace Inclusion Advisor, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of internal events and initiatives to support an inclusive people experience and organisational culture which is safe, respectful, inclusive and values-drive. You will thrive in this role if you are adaptable, values-driven, and have a passion for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

Reporting to the Team leader – Culture and Talent Management the core responsibilities include:

Build and embed workplace Inclusion and belonging 
Support the implementation of Together we Thrive (Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Plan) which is centred around six diversity pillars - Accessibility, Culture & Religion, First Nations, Gender Equity, LGBTIQA+ and Multigenerational.  

Support the design and delivery of inclusion initiatives 
Contribute to the design and delivery of organisation-wide and local area initiatives which support workplace inclusion, diversity and belonging. Provide information and guidance to the organisation on inclusive practice.  

Communicate organisation-wide initiatives 
Support the development and implementation of our workplace Gender Equality Action Plan, including Equity Impact Assessments conducted across the organisation. 

Leaders and employees participate in driving change 
Coordinate and/or support internal groups such as the Diversity and Inclusion Workplace Group and Ally Groups to increase organisational learning and awareness, support employees’ sense of belonging, and celebrate and/or acknowledge events.  

Drive insight-led decision making  
Review, monitor and evaluate data including through employee engagement surveys, workforce insights, and external research to ensure high-quality reporting and accurate decision-making.  

About You

Education & Experience – Sound knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion principles, including relevant Human Rights and Equal Opportunity legislation.  
Experience designing and delivering organisation-wide culture, engagement or DEI initiatives which translate strategy into action. 

A relevant tertiary education is desirable.  

Written & Verbal Communication – Proven ability to engage diverse audiences, manage sensitive conversations, and support leaders to embed inclusive practices. Well-developed stakeholder partnering skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals. 

Data – Strong data literacy, with the ability to analyse workforce and engagement data and turn insights into practical recommendations.

Other – A genuine personal commitment to inclusion, resilience in navigating complex issues, and the ability to see and value diverse perspectives.
