About the role
Reflective Gardens is seeking an experienced horticulturalist or garden maintenance professional to lead a small team maintaining and enhancing some of Sydney’s finest residential gardens.
Operating for more than 25 years, Reflective Gardens is an award-winning landscape construction and garden care company known for quality workmanship, attention to detail and long-term client relationships.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed horticultural work, leading and developing others, and delivering smaller planting and landscape enhancement projects.
The RoleYou will be responsible for:
Leading and mentoring a small garden care team
Maintaining high-end residential gardens to an exceptional standard
Detailed pruning, hedging, mowing, edging, planting, weeding, fertilising and mulching
Monitoring plant health and identifying pest, disease, irrigation and soil-related issues
Planning daily work and ensuring allocated tasks are completed efficiently
Communicating professionally with clients and reporting recommendations to management
Operating and caring for garden maintenance tools and equipment
Leading smaller enhancement works, including planting, garden rejuvenations, turfing, soil improvement and soft-landscape installations
Maintaining safe, organised and presentable worksites
We are looking for someone who has:
Strong experience in garden maintenance, horticulture or a related field
Sound plant identification and horticultural knowledge
Experience leading, supervising or mentoring team members
Confidence with pruning, hedging, plant health and detailed garden presentation
Soft-landscaping or garden enhancement experience
Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
The ability to safely carry out physical outdoor work
A current Australian driver’s licence
A Certificate III in Horticulture or a related qualification will be highly regarded.
