About the role:
As a Patient Transport Paramedic, you will provide safe, professional, and compassionate care to patients requiring non-emergency transport between hospitals, healthcare facilities, aged care homes, and private residences. You will deliver high-quality clinical care while ensuring patient comfort and dignity throughout their journey. This role will involve, but is not limited to:
· Conducting patient assessments before, during, and after transport
· Providing clinical monitoring and appropriate interventions within your scope of practice
· Safely transporting low to medium acuity patients between healthcare facilities and appointments
· Responding to planned and urgent non-emergency patient transfers
· Completing accurate patient care records and transport documentation
· Liaising effectively with hospitals, aged care facilities, medical practitioners, and other healthcare professionals
· Maintaining ambulance readiness, equipment, and infection control standards
About you:
· Previous experience in patient transport, emergency, or pre-hospital care is highly regarded
· Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to remain calm and professional in a dynamic healthcare environment
· Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
· Commitment to delivering patient-centred care with empathy and professionalism
· Willingness to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
· Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Mandatory compliance:
· 3 x Covid vaccinations and annual influenza vaccination
· Category A immunisations (MMR, Chicken Pox, Hep B, Varicella, Whooping Cough, dTpa, Covid x 3 and current Influenza)
· Mask Fit Certificate
· Bachelor of Paramedicine and valid AHPRA registration
· Full Australian work rights
· Australian driving Licence with a safe driving record
· Ability to obtain National Police check and WWCC (NDIS check may be required)
