About the role
Customer Experience Librarian
Build positive community connections through programs and services.
Temporary part-time role (14 hours per week) until January 2027.
Salary from $78,540.70 - $84,670.29 pro rata per annum plus 12% Super.

Reporting to the Customer Experience Supervisor you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service across our library network, supporting community engagement, digital access and lifelong learning opportunities for residents.
This is a temporary part- time role (14 hours per week) until January 2027.
The schedule for this role is below:
Monday 9.30am – 2.00pm Artarmon Library
Tuesday 9.30am – 2.00pm, Northbridge Library
Thursday 9.30am – 2.30pm, West Chatswood Library

About the Role
As the Customer Experience Librarian, you will:
Manage the day-to-day operations of a library location, including shift supervision.
Support digital literacy and access to library technologies.
Participate in collection development and maintenance activities.
Assist with the delivery of library events, programs and outreach services.
Support Home Library Service customers as required.
Supervise volunteers and assist community groups using library facilities.
What You’ll Bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Science recognised by ALIA, or equivalent.
Current Working with Children Check, Class C Driver Licence and First Aid Certificate.
Demonstrated experience working in a public library environment.
Strong knowledge of library technologies, collections and library management systems.
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to serving diverse communities.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
Understanding of contemporary library services and emerging technologies.
Desirable:
Experience working within a Local Government environment.
