Senior L&D Trainer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Learning & Development Trainer to join our Induction Delivery team within People & Culture. Reporting to the Induction Delivery Lead, you will shape the organisation’s onboarding and induction training, coach a small cohort of L&D trainers, and continuously improve our learning solutions. The role can be based in Kawana, North Lakes or Toowong.

What you’ll be doing

• Coach and develop a team of Learning & Development trainers, supporting their capability growth.
• Partner with the Induction Delivery Lead on team operations, reporting and day to day administration.
• Design, develop, deliver and evaluate high impact L&D solutions that align with business objectives, A&G values and the specific needs of new hires.
• Consult with business leaders, HR partners and Subject Matter Experts to identify and prioritise capability gaps.
• Ensure all training documentation meets relevant industry legislation and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards where vocational outcomes are required.
• Research, recommend and embed modern, best practice learning techniques, tools and strategies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, proposing creative solutions to enhance policies, processes and learning assets.
• Deliver train the trainer sessions for new content and for the professional development of fellow trainers.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal and external training professionals to share best practice.
• Engage learners, understand their challenges and provide the support they need to succeed.
• Conduct regular one on one check ins with the broader team and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Collate survey statistics and other reporting data into clear, actionable spreadsheets for senior leadership.

What experience you’ll bring

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a Learning & Development or trainer role, with hands on facilitation of programmes and delivery of engaging learning experiences.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience coaching or leading others in a learning environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and consultation skills; ability to build effective relationships and uncover learning needs.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication – you can articulate concepts clearly and collaborate across teams.
• Proven ability to manage your own workload, set priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• A proactive, curious mindset with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
