About the role
Position Summary: The Clinical Educator functions as a clinical and product expert and is responsible for working with the ICU Medical sales team to advance the sales process and maximise customer satisfaction through in-service education and training programs, clinical and product troubleshooting, including follow-up activities.
Location: Melbourne and Sydney
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Conducts and leads in-services and educational sessions relative to ICU products during evaluations, conversions, and trouble-shootingPromotes/sells/secures opportunities for product training & support from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approachDemonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs in collaboration with sales & management teamDemonstrate a detailed understanding of product range and clinical applicationAssists the sales team with the provision of effective clinical support, teaching and education of ICU productsDelivery of programs to support ICU products in the clinical settingMakes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to customers as directedSupplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services as requiredKeeps up to date with product applications, technical services, and changes in clinical demandsParticipates in trade shows and conventions as requiredAwareness and alignment to ICU Medical’s QMS policies and proceduresObservance and compliance with WHS legislation and policies
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is required, however previous registration will be consideredExtensive recent post registration experienceCommitment to a high standard of nursing careDemonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skillsUnderstanding of teaching and learning in the healthcare environmentAbility to determine clinical solutions for customersEffective communication & interpersonal skills with problem solving abilityMust be able to work both independently and within a team environmentMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applicationsMust have Australian or New Zealand working rightsMust have a valid driver’s licenseMust have, or must be able to obtain, clearance to access hospital/medical/healthcare facilities, including paediatric facilities
Travel Requirements: Requires regular travel, local as well as interstate (could be up to 50% of the time), this may include overnight travel
Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Customer site visits may require work to be performed within a hospital or clinical setting. Guidelines established for working in such an environment must be followedRegular driving is required in order to travel to customer sites
