Are you looking for your next opportunity in the service sector? Maybe you've been in retail, sales or hospitality for a while, have your 'customer service' persona perfected and would like to try something different, preferably something that involves cute dogs and cats?

Kindred Vet might be for you. We are a new, membership-based veterinary clinic opening in Dickson, ACT in mid-September 2026. While we still do pay-as-you-go, general practice veterinary work like other clinics, we are also a little different. Our unique membership models (Core and VIP - Very Important Pet) are designed to reduce barriers to care and encourage pet owners to address pet health concerns before they grow. We are also co-located with the Walk In Clinic For Animals, which offers urgent after hours care to pets from 6pm every evening. This means our patients can stay in hospital overnight with dedicated nurses caring for them 24/7, ensuring a high standard of care at all times.

Our clinic is purpose built, but housed inside a large building on the first floor. This means there is a comfortable staff room, floor to ceiling windows that cover 2/3 of the hospital allowing natural light and views, a coffee machine, 6 consult rooms + family/grieving room built to emulate a living room at home, 2 surgical theatres + dirty procedures room + large three table treatment area, plus ultrasound room, x-ray room, wards etc.

We are looking for Customer Care Representatives (CCRs) to join our new team. This is not a receptionist job - we don't have a 'reception', instead we offer roving customer service in our waiting room. You will be working off an iPad and Bluetooth headset, so it's a mobile, dynamic role that moves with our clients. We have a coffee machine and drinks fridge for clients, a pet treat bar for patients and a picture wall for our favourite pet friends complete with a polaroid camera - we want CCRs who do all the usual tasks (answer phones, book appointments, take payments, explain membership tiers) as well as the extra things (make a fuss over our patients, ask clients about their pets and actually listen to the response, notice details and act on them). We are looking to delight our clients and patients will excellent customer care - and that's where you come in.

What are we looking for?

• Experienced customer service professional with a background in sales, hosting, high-end hospitality etc

• Someone who is bright, outgoing, pays attention to detail and aims to improve someone's day through care and attentiveness

• Team player with good communication skills, who can collaborate with our vets and nurses to answer questions and help clients get the care their pet needs

• Fast learner who is interested in working in the animal sector
