About The Role

As Account Director – Institutional Super, you will lead strategic employer relationships to deliver governance, growth, retention and long-term value outcomes for Employer Superannuation clients. Reporting to the Head of Institutional Superannuation, this role partners with large and complex employer clients to position superannuation as a strategic lever for workforce engagement and retirement outcomes, not just a compliance obligation.

You will develop and deliver insight-led account plans, lead governance forums, use workforce data to shape recommendations and partner across Product, Risk, Compliance, Education and other internal teams to improve client, member and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Own and lead strategic relationships with large and complex employer clients, building trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders including C-suite and Board representatives.Position Employer Superannuation as a strategic lever for workforce and retirement outcomes, not just a compliance obligation.Develop and deliver insight-led account plans that drive member growth, retention and deeper engagement within employer plans.Build a deep understanding of employee onboarding, induction and employee experience to progress client change initiatives that increase participation and improve default fund outcomes.Lead governance forums, including Policy Committees, with a forward-looking and outcome-focused approach.Identify, escalate and manage risks in partnership with Product, Risk and Compliance teams, ensuring strong governance and risk stewardship.Translate workforce data and insights into clear strategic recommendations, including targeted approaches for at-risk member cohorts.Lead conversations that shift employer focus from accumulation to retirement income outcomes.Support Education Managers with the preparation and management of engagement plans to ensure members are actively engaged and educated.Partner across the business to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder client initiatives that deepen relationships and support long-term growth.

What You Will Bring

Significant experience in relationship management within superannuation, financial services or complex B2B environments.Strong executive presence, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and boards.Deep understanding of superannuation, retirement income concepts and industry dynamics.Proven strategic, commercial and analytical capability.Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence without formal authority.Strong governance mindset with sound risk awareness and judgement.Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.High levels of credibility, professionalism and accountability.Outcomes-focused mindset with a strong commitment to long-term value creation.
