The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Multi Skilled Equipment Operator to join the Isa Surface Fleet Roads and Waste team. Reporting to the Roads and Waste Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining critical road infrastructure, landfill operations and waste management services across the Mount Isa Mines and George Fisher Mine leases. Grader experience is essential, while loader, dozer and landfill compactor experience is highly regarded.

This residential role operates on a 7/7 roster (12-hour day shifts, 42-hour average week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvementOperating a variety of Heavy Earth Moving equipmentWorking with other departments, contractors and teams to support production targets are safely metMaintaining a high level of safety in the way we workMonitoring, reporting and conducting thorough equipment prestart inspectionSafe operation of machinery across site and positive communication

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

Grader operator experience is essentialLoader, dozer and landfill compactor operating experience is highly regarded Proven experience in heavy machinery operations would be advantageousStrong time management skillsAbility to communicate at all levelsFlexible attitude and sound work ethicAbility to achieve results within the specified time framesStrong customer focus is required as well as a high level of attention to detailAbility to work well within a team environment or with minimal supervisionThe ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
