Rotating Day & Night Shifts
Programmed are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our client . Our client is a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, powering the circular economy by closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are seeking reliable and safety-focused Machine Operators to join their beverage can manufacturing facility in Clayton.
Working in a modern, highly automated production environment, you will play a key role in the manufacturing of aluminum beverage cans, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
About The Role
This is a hands-on role operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where aluminum sheets are processed through automated machinery to produce beverage cans. The production process includes can forming, automated washing, decorating, quality inspection and packaging.
Key Responsibilities Include
Operating and monitoring automated production machinery and conveyor systemsConducting quality inspections and removing damaged or defective productsResponding to minor line stoppages and clearing jams where authorizedCompleting production and quality documentationAssisting with machine start-up, shutdown and changeoversPerforming routine inspections and basic fault reportingPallet handling and movement of materialsOperating pallet jacks and warehouse equipmentMaintaining housekeeping and safety standardsWorking safely around forklifts, trucks and mobile plantFollowing OH&S, GMP and site procedures at all times
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Previous experience in manufacturing, production or machine operationExperience working with automated machinery or conveyor systemsStrong attention to detail and quality focusGood mechanical aptitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong commitment to workplace safetyReliable transport and flexibility to work rotating shiftsLF Forklift License (desirable but not essential)
