Roof Plumber

About the role

This is a permanent full-time position offering varied work across commercial construction, roof replacement, repairs and scheduled maintenance projects throughout Hobart and Southern Tasmania.

Key responsibilities

• Installing and replacing metal roofing and wall cladding
• Fabricating and installing flashings, box gutters, gutters and downpipes
• Diagnosing and repairing roof leaks and drainage problems
• Completing commercial roof inspections and maintenance
• Reading construction drawings and roofing specifications
• Coordinating roofing work with builders and other trades
• Ensuring work complies with Australian Standards and Tasmanian requirements
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
• Working independently and assisting with the supervision of apprentices where required

About you

• Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Current Tasmanian roof plumbing practitioner licence
• Proven metal roofing and commercial roofing experience
• Current White Card and driver's licence
• Current Working Safely at Heights training
• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People card, or willingness to obtain one
• Satisfactory National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
• Experience with Colorbond roofing, cladding, flashings and box gutters
• Ability to interpret plans, measure accurately and complete work independently
