Construction Surveyor

About the role

We're looking for a Construction Surveyor to join us full-time, working on sites across Victoria with a base at our Chirnside Park office. You'll be on-site delivering setouts and levels for residential, commercial, and civil construction projects, working directly with builders, developers, and site supervisors to keep projects moving accurately and on schedule. We take a collaborative, problem-solving approach on-site rather than just providing measurements, with close coordination between our field teams and office support to keep every project running seamlessly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out construction setout surveys on residential, commercial, and civil sites using total stations and related equipment
• Set out levels, grades, and reference points to guide construction activity
• Ensure setouts comply with project drawings, specifications, and survey regulations
• Respond quickly on-site to keep projects moving and minimise downtime for builders and developers
• Work closely with builders, developers, and site supervisors to deliver accurate, timely survey data
• Coordinate with our office and admin team to keep site information and records up to date
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records and survey reports
• Adhere to workplace safety standards and site-specific requirements

About you

• A degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Surveying or Geospatial Science (or currently working towards one)
• Experience in construction surveying (preferred, but not essential for junior applicants)
• Proficiency with survey equipment (Total Station, GNSS, AutoCAD, or other surveying software)
• Confidence reading and interpreting construction drawings and site plans
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills on-site
• Comfortable working independently on-site and coordinating with builders and site teams
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
• Physical ability to carry out fieldwork in all site conditions
• Based in Melbourne, with the ability to travel to our Chirnside Park office
