Working closely with operational and finance stakeholders, you'll help deliver high quality financial information that supports decision-making, regulatory compliance and business performance.

This is a hands-on role that combines technical accounting expertise with leadership and continuous improvement. You'll oversee the month-end process, support tax and compliance activities, contribute to statutory reporting requirements and provide coaching and support to a direct report, helping drive strong financial outcomes across the division.
Key responsibilities includeManaging month-end financial accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations and reportingReviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of financial records and controlsPreparing special purpose financial statements and supporting year-end reporting requirementsSupporting tax and compliance activities, including BAS, IAS, payroll tax and audit requirementMaintaining a strong control environment and helping ensure compliance with accounting standards and governance requirementIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and leverage automationSupporting accounts payable activities and financial reporting obligations

About you
You're a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes. You bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

You enjoy building relationships across an organisation, providing trusted advice and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls. You'll also bring;CA ANZ or CPA qualificationDemonstrated experience in financial accounting, reporting and compliance within a corporate environment.Strong knowledge of accounting standards, governance and taxation requirementsExperience preparing reconciliations, financial statements and month-end reportingAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP or accounting systemsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA passion for continuous improvement and finding better ways of working
