About the role
The opportunity
We need someone to recruit and nurture a new group of Foster Carers to care for vulnerable children, so they can grow up in stable, secure and loving homes.
Are you keen to be part of a professional growing team, working together to support the safety, well-being and positive life outcomes for children and young people in the child protection and Foster Care systems in Regional NSW?
The successful applicant will work within a supportive and passionate team at Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation (based in Wagga Wagga, regional NSW) to deliver these services and to ensure the best culturally appropriate outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people and their families. This position is an identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander position.
The Role
The Carer Support Caseworker will work closely with other members of the Permanency Support Program (PSP) OOHC team to recruit and retain high quality placements for the children and young people in the care of RivMed in line with the NSW Aboriginal Child & Young Person Placement Principles. The Carer Support Caseworker will provide carers with the required training and support to ensure they have all the necessary skills and support to undertake their role as a carer. The successful candidate will need to be available to work outside of office hours from time-to-time.
