About the role
Position Summary
The role is based out of our Airport West office, but works are primarily in the field which can be anywhere across the greater Melbourne area. There is no requirement to report to the office every day as the successful applicant will be provided the required tools to work remotely from sites. The successful applicant needs to be willing to travel anywhere in metro Melbourne dependent on work location. The role is in our interiors division with a strong focus on non-structural office, shop and warehouse fit outs, along with commercial building maintenance.

Position Description
This role will be a combination of supervising and coordinating our in-house maintenance team and assisting our projects team with onsite fit-out projects. The role is hands on in the field with some office and computer-based tasks.
Experience supervising and supporting trade staff in the field
Experience with general building maintenance (Door Repairs and Maintenance, Plaster Patching and Painting, Furniture and Minor Cabinetry Installs, Small Tiling Jobs etc.)
Experience managing small jobs while being hands on – with support from the office and team.
Experience with reviewing onsite documentation and Contractor SWMS to ensure all works are delivered safely.
Liaise with clients, sourcing materials, reading plans and general decision making and problem solving where needed.
Experience scoping jobs for quoting – Attend site and meet with client. Scope jobs accurately and take photos, measurements, and feed back to estimating team for quoting.
Any experience in office fit outs such as ceilings, wall partitions etc. would be beneficial but not necessarily a requirement for the role.
Good attention to detail
Applicant needs to be Trade Qualified in Carpentry or Building Trade and have White Card, Own Hand / Power Tools and own reliable vehicle.
Preferably applicant would hold an EWP license

Proven track record of delivering projects on time, to budget and to specification
