Purchasing & Inventory Controller

The opportunity 

Sunpork are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to step into the role of Purchasing & Inventory Controller.

The successful applicant will be based in the SunPork Kingaroy office and be responsible for monitoring SunPorks purchasing requirements across the multiple sites that SunPork (Commercial Operations Business Unit) use for production. The role includes but not limited to the tracking/reviewing of stock levels, ordering, warehousing, incoming/outgoing transport, production relationships & requirements.

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the tracking and order requirements for SunPorks packaging, consumable, and ingredients for the Swickers & BRP facilities, considering supplier and production timelines, deadlines, usage rates and variations, and safety stock levels.
• Responsible for checking/monitoring usage data and updating in D365 as required.
• Responsible for receipting and closing off Commercial Operations invoices, including end of month requirements.
• Working collaboratively with planning and production on forecasting of SunPorks packaging, consumables, and ingredient supply to best meet business requirements both at supplier, production, and sales levels.
• Support in overseeing of SunPorks offsite storage sites, including in Kingaroy and South Australia.
• Oversee both the inbound and outbound transport for packaging collection and deliveries.
• Complete stocktakes with the warehouse team to ensure an accurate SOH is maintained.
• Responsible for organising the inbound and outbound transport for packaging collection and deliveries, and liaising with transport on changes, issues, etc.
• Support in the review of SunPorks Swickers site storage including storage conditions, stock levels, issues/challenges, team check ins, etc.
• Effectively advise relevant parties of external impacts on our business such as supplier timelines, delivery timings, etc. for all issues such as public holidays, seasonal events, etc.
• Work Collaboratively with the purchasing team to ensure training plans and all role backup/secondary options are up to date for times of leave, sickness, etc.
• Provide reports as necessary, as directed by manager.

Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory is an export meat processing facility, based in the South Burnett Region and is ideally located just 2 - 3 hours’ drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast.
