Qualifications:

• Hold an ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Hold a ACECQA approved Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care

Professional requirements: 

• A thorough understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

• Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing and be able to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all children. Understand and uphold the Child Safe Standards, the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, and all child protection responsibilities, including maintaining professional boundaries, responding appropriately to concerns, and promoting a culture where children feel safe, respected, and empowered.

• Completed mandatory 'Child Safety' training.

• CHCPRT025 Identify and Report Children and Young People Certificate

• Proven experience within an Australian early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years), minimum 2 years.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to learn and be a part of the team

• Ability to actively contribute to the education program in the room and the centre team

• Support a positive culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement

• A current Working with Children Check

• First Aid certificate - HLTAID012

As an educator you will be responsible to:

• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community

• Contribute to the development of an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice

• Document children’s learning and development

• Actively contribute to the implementation and adoption of our curriculum.

• You will also share our commitment and passion for bringing learning to life, inspiring the children in our care to reach their full potential.

• Creating child-safe environments that place children's safety, wellbeing, and rights first.

• Building a culture of safety, respect, and belonging for every child, every day.
