About the Role
As the Senior Community Facilities Officer, you will play a key role in supporting welcoming, connected and responsive community facilities across the southwest area. Working across Cranbourne West Community Hub and a range of community centres and public halls, you will apply community development principles to create spaces where residents feel connected, included and empowered to participate.
This role has a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, relationship building and partnership development. You will work collaboratively with diverse community groups, service providers, residents, volunteers and internal stakeholders to establish, support and monitor partnerships that are purposeful, sustainable and aligned with community priorities. Through a compassionate and community-minded approach, you will build trust, identify emerging needs and support initiatives that strengthen community connections, participation and wellbeing.
You will lead the development, delivery and promotion of community programs, activities and events that encourage participation, build social connections and respond to local priorities. This includes coordinating community events, supporting community-led initiatives and working collaboratively with partners to maximise community impact.
As a senior member of the team, you will support the day-to-day operations of community facilities, while coaching, mentoring and guiding staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality customer service and community-focused outcomes.
