About the role
Non Contact Educational Leader in a beautiful cosy nature based service
Great incentives | A supportive leadership structure to set you up for success
The Opportunity
Are you looking for an organisation that truly values its Educational Leaders? Do you love guiding teams on their curriculum journey and making a real difference in children's lives? Are you ready to join a high-quality early education group that will support and celebrate you as you grow? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're excited to announce an opening for the highly sought-after role of Educational Leader at our beautiful Morayfield Sesame Lane Service.
The Role
We're looking for a kind, open minded, motivated and inspiring Educational Leader to join our dynamic, exceeding Sesame Lane team.
We deeply value our Educational Leaders and know how important it is to have dedicated time — time with educators as they program, time on the floor supporting and guiding, time for your own work, and time to grow as a leader and mentor. This role forms part of the service's Leadership Team, and you'll work closely with the Service Manager to achieve exceptional learning outcomes for both children and educators. You'll also be supported by a dedicated Pedagogical Leader and Area Manager.
At our Morayfield service we value our environments providing a home away from home feeling with care and attention throughout the day as part of our commitment to slow pedagogy and learning in nature.
What the children are excited to find in an Educational Leader:
Someone to walk alongside them and explore at Bush Kindy,
Someone who will be constantly curious,
Someone who is creative and will PLAY!
Be who you are. Love what you do.
If you're good at what you do, you can work anywhere. If you're the best at what you do, you belong at Sesame Lane. We are one team with one dream — to make a positive difference in people's lives (and have a lot of fun along the way!).
When you join us, you become part of something bigger. You'll be inspired, you'll learn, and you'll grow. It's more than a job — it's about showing up and making a difference every single day. Are you ready?
The Sesame Lane Difference
At Sesame Lane, our values are at the heart of everything we do. Our name is a fun acronym for what we stand for:
S – Smiling is contagious
E – Excellent customer care
S – Safety is our priority
A – Attitude is everything
M – Make someone's day
E – Empathy; we care enough to show it
Benefits of joining the Sesame Lane team
We know that everyone is unique, and we want you to feel like you truly belong. Here are just some of the perks of becoming a Sesame Lane team member:
Collaborate with experienced, passionate Curriculum Mentors to implement world-class learning
Career advancement opportunities across our growing network
Community support programs
Regular network meetings with other Educational Leaders and your Pedagogical Leader
Access to Laneways — our incredible employee rewards and recognition program
A dedicated Pedagogical Leader to support your learning and mentoring journey
Digital programming platform — StoryPark
A supportive management structure
Paid professional development including leadership training, curriculum workshops, an annual conference, and monthly meetings
Paid Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, and Manual Handling training
Employee referral program — earn up to $1,000
Generous childcare discount for team members' children
Employee wellbeing support — annual flu shot and Employee Assistance Program
Uniforms provided
An attractive above-award remuneration package with scope for growth
Full-time or part-time options to suit your life
As the Educational Leader, you will:
Inspire, motivate, and support educators to elevate the service's practice, in partnership with the Leadership Team
Support educators to assess each child's learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework and contemporary theories
Guide educators to critically reflect on children's learning and their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice
Provide support for Assessment and Rating, and help prepare the team for Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement Plans
Assist in setting clear goals around educational programming and the efficiency of the service
Ensure the service follows best practice across curriculum development, professional development, administrative procedures, and family and community engagement
Assist with day-to-day operations as needed
Enjoy well above the required non-contact time to fulfil your role
Skills and qualifications we're looking for:
A growth mindset and a genuine love of learning
Strong ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
A Diploma or higher qualification (or ACECQA-assessed equivalent) — Bachelor-qualified candidates are especially encouraged to apply
Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and the QKLG
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
A sense of fun and a willingness to think outside the box
Confidence using online learning journey tools such as StoryPark
Passion for sustainable practices
Applicants must have full permanent working rights in Australia. Sponsorship arrangements will be considered.
Ready to become part of our team? We're ready for you! Apply via Seek or send your cover letter and resume to ****@sesamelane.com.au.
We know the application process takes time, and we genuinely appreciate yours. Please note that due to the high volume of interest, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
