Dental Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist / Assistant to join our small team in Manuka, ACT. This position plays a vital role in our practice, balancing both reception and administrative duties while also including chair-side assistance to our providers.

What you'll be doing

• Reception Duties: Greeting and welcoming our patients, checking them in for their appointments and scheduling further appointments, answering phone calls and emails.
• Admin Support: Processing private health fund claims (HICAPS) and EFTPOS payments, handling private & confidential patient dental history records.
• Clinical Support: Assisting providers chair-side by anticipating the next steps while treating patients, ensuring treatment rooms are clean, stocked and organised.
• Providing excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns.
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

What we're looking for

• At least 1-2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients and team members.
• Excellent organisational skills and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using dental software and basic computer systems. - Training will be provided if required
• A passion for providing exceptional patient care
