Registered Nurse - Part Time

Westbrook Family Medical Pty Ltd trading as Westbrook and Cambooya Family Medical have a part time position available for a Registered Nurse who has experience in General Practice. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a dedicated team and enjoys connecting with patients and delivering holistic care. We are looking for someone to take on the role of a part time Registered Nurse Level 2. To start the position will be 2 days per week, Wednesday and Friday, with the opportunity to cover annual and personal leave when required.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate empathy towards our patients, have outstanding people skills, have sound knowledge of medical procedures, have good computer skills, be willing to work as part of a team and have the ability to function in a highly organised and time efficient manner at all times.

Your duties will include but are not limited to: -

Providing clinical nursing services through:

• Patient triage

• Patient assessment

• Therapeutic care and treatment

• Diagnostic services

• Clinical data management

Coordinating patient services through:

• Communicating with other services

• Integration of service delivery

• Planning and management of care

• Providing information and feedback between the services, patients and GP

• Patient advocacy

Assisting the clinical environment to meet relevant standards and legislative requirements in:

• Infection control

• Cold chain monitoring

• Records management

• Occupational health and safety

• Accreditation process

Promoting patient, carer and community well-being through:

• Health information

• Education

• Specific programs

• Community development

• Self-care/self-management education

Enhancing the management and prevention of ill health through:

• Health screening

• Immunisation

• Recalls

• Patient education

• Outreach services

• Systems management

• Acute and chronic disease management
