Landscaper/Machine operator

First Sheds is a leading supplier and installer of high-quality steel sheds throughout Canberra and the surrounding region. We're looking for a reliable, motivated team member to join our growing construction crew.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You'll be involved in all aspects of site preparation and external works for residential, rural and commercial shed projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Bobcats, excavators and other plant equipment.

• Site cuts, earthworks and excavation.

• Demolition using machinery.

• Installing stormwater, drainage and plumbing pipework.

• Installing underground electrical conduits.

• Preparing concrete slabs and shed sites.

• Paving, retaining walls and landscaping works.

• Loading, unloading and maintaining equipment.

• Working safely and efficiently as part of a small team.

• Assisting with general construction tasks as required.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience operating Bobcats and excavators.

• Holds a current White Card.

• Has a current driver's licence (MR licence an advantage).

• Can read plans and work independently.

• Takes pride in producing quality workmanship.

• Is physically fit and enjoys working outdoors.

• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn.

• Excavator and skid steer tickets.

• Experience with plumbing or drainage installation.

• Experience installing underground electrical conduits.

• Landscaping or paving experience.

• Truck licence.

• Machinery maintenance experience.
